The Eisenhower matrix, also known as the Urgent-Important matrix, is a tool used to prioritize tasks based on their urgency and importance. It is named after former U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who is said to have used this method to manage his time effectively. The matrix divides tasks into four quadrants based on their level of urgency and importance:

Quadrant 1: urgent and important tasks that need to be done immediately

Quadrant 2: important tasks that should be scheduled and worked on soon, but not necessarily right away

Quadrant 3: urgent tasks that are less important and can be delegated or done later

Quadrant 4: tasks that are neither urgent nor important and can be eliminated

Using the Eisenhower matrix can help individuals prioritize their tasks and focus on the most important ones first, leading to increased productivity and time management.
